HELLO FROM SWEET FIT VI
It's Official... We're Moving to Buccaneer Mall!
New Home - Same Sweet Fit Vibes
Our Sweet Fit Fam is growing and so is our studio! We're excited to announce that we're moving to Buccaneer Mall located right in the heart of Charlotte Amalie (the old Recycle Room location). Our last day of classes in Tillett Gardens will be on Monday, May 10, 2021 - this will give us a few days to get everything set up for you at our new spot.
Our first day of classes will be on Monday, May 17, 2021. We know this will be a transition and we appreciate all of you taking this journey with us. We're confident that we will bring the same energy to our new home and keep the sweet vibes rolling.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported us throughout 2020 and beyond. To all of our new members, thank you for giving us a chance and the best is yet to come. To our OG's who've been there since day 1 and watched our family grow from the ground up, you know what's up. We appreciate all of you and we know this wouldn't be possible without your support.
Sweet Fit VI gives good vibes.
The concept of our fitness studio was developed out of a passion for fitness and wanting to share that love with others in our community. Our mission is to motivate people of all ages and abilities to come together and achieve their fitness goals, and have fun while doing it!
We are a fitness studio offering a variety of group fitness classes including indoor cycling, strength training, HIIT workouts, dance fitness, yoga and stretching. Private 1 on 1 sessions and private group sessions are also available upon request.
In January 2018, I decided to take control of my health, body and overall well-being. Along with healthier eating habits, I started indoor cycling & fell in love! I eventually started cycling 3-4 times a week, and developed a new passion for fitness and wanting to share that passion with others! Cycling gives me the opportunity to clear my mind, zone out for about 45-60 minutes & focus on my ride! In the process, I've lost weight (45 lbs & counting), I'm healthier and most importantly, I feel good on the inside! I'm very thankful to the supportive team of women who encouraged and inspired me to be Great and Keep Pushing!
As an ACE Certified GFI and a Certified Cycling Instructor, I promise to keep your classes fun, motivating & entertaining with feel good vibes! You will work hard and get in shape all while listening to some great tunes! (I also take song requests 😉). Will you join me on this Fitness Journey at Sweet Fit VI? I hope that you will. Let's do this together and become the best version of ourselves.
For years I struggled to find a cardio workout that I actually liked (or that I could stick with). Early 2018, a friend invited me to an indoor cycling class and I was hooked! Indoor cycling gives me the burn I want while making me feel really good about myself. I am a Certified Cycling Instructor at Sweet Fit VI and I'm excited to share what I've learned along my journey with everybody! My goal is to inspire you and to get you excited about Fitness! My classes are Challenging and Fun! You will leave feeling motivated, energized and ready for another session!
Sarah was born and raised in Emmaus, PA. The youngest of 4 girls she became highly competitive in softball in her early childhood in order to assert herself in her birth order. Her sister Jennifer had Trisomy 13 which instilled in Sarah a fierce love of advocacy and compassion as her mother modeled for her during her childhood. As a child she dreamed of living on an island and in 2014 this free spirit made St. Thomas her home. Outside of the Sweet Fit studio, Sarah can be found providing occupational therapy at COG Restore treating a wide range of injuries and diagnoses that affect one's shoulder all the way down to their hand. In her free time she enjoys spinning and leading Deep Stretch classes with the empowering tribe at Sweet Fit. She also enjoys beaching with her partner and raising their dog Marley.
Asia was born in Houston, TX and is currently a Student Athlete at UVI - she has used basketball as a means to travel the world, which led her to St.Thomas! Being involved in fitness, Asia has learned how valuable it is to stay active. Her passion to motivate others along with her dedication to community outreach is what sparked her interest in Zumba! Asia has been a Zumba ZIN™ Member since August 2018 and absolutely loves teaching Zumba classes. Her reason is simple: Every class feels like a party! Asia's classes are designed to bring a fresh, fun and exciting environment to fitness! Asia's favorite quote is "Through discipline, you can achieve anything".
Diana Bowen has been an educator and coach for over 15 years and she is currently an assistant professor of mathematics at the University of the Virgin Islands and a volunteer and advocate for community swimming programs. Diana is a lifelong athlete and she enjoys a variety of sports including swimming, snorkeling, hiking, sailing, triathlons, and cycling. She coached high school swimming, summer swimming, synchronized swimming, and taught beginning rugby classes and swim lessons before her work at Sweet Fit. Her Power Abs class combines a series of core movements set to music and takes Diana back to her time as a choreographer for synchronized swimming and colorguard. Diana spends almost all of her free time outdoors except when she is losing to her ma in competitive scrabble, training her adorable pup Darla, or planning her next big adventure. Diana also enjoys competing in open water swims and she looks forward to her next race!
Tricia Homer is a certified Pilates and Zoca® dance fitness instructor. She lives in College Park, Maryland where she coaches MBA and EMBA students and teaches Business Communication in the MS program at the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business. She enjoys Bikram yoga, kickboxing and teaches ZOCA dance for Maryland National Capital Parks and Planning.
Jamie is originally from NC and has been living in St Thomas for the last 7.5 years. When she’s not teaching middle school at the Peter Gruber International Academy, she can be found at Sweet Fit! Jamie comes from an athletic background and has always enjoyed fitness classes, but when she started indoor cycling in early 2020 she found her passion. In her classes, you will challenge yourself while you move to the beat and get your sweat on. She aspires to create a judgement free zone where you can be yourself and have fun working out. Her motto: “You’re only one spin class away from a good mood!”

Your Journey Begins Here...
Sweet Fit VI offers a weekly schedule of classes for every fitness fan. Whether you want to dial up the intensity or take a more relaxed approach, we’ve got a class with a spot just for you. Create your own personalized schedule by choosing the classes that suit your needs.
HOT PILATES (POP UP CLASS)
The HOTTEST new workout in St.Thomas! Hot Pilates is a challenging, low impact, high intensity workout which combines Pilates mat exercises with High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) in a heated room. This class increases flexibility, strengthens muscles, burns fat and improves endurance! An intense workout for every part of your body, including your core! All fitness levels will get an amazing workout. Be sure to bring a full sized towel and you're all set!
TGIF POWER CYCLE
An intense 45 minute ride that blends power, speed and strength and will have your heart rate soaring! TGIF and get ready to sweat as you climb, jump and sprint to the beat.
This class introduces the basics of yoga to those who are new to the practice, as well as those interested in continuing to work on the fundamentals such as poses (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama) and alignment principles that build a foundation for the holistic benefits of yoga. This class will help you reduce anxiety, find a place of peace, and increase mobility in the hips, spine and shoulders. The first part of yoga is simply showing up as your authentic self, everything else is just practice.
HIIT ME UP!
HIIT Me Up is a full body workout. The class is a rigorous interval training sequence with high intensity exercises. It builds cardiovascular fitness while improving muscle strength and endurance. The class combines resistance training with plyometric moves to improve your strength and power.
Tabatas, weights, jumps, sprints, hills, isolations... we've got it all packed into a 45 minute ride. This class is a mix of cardio and interval training with a combination of weight training for the upper body. A fun and energetic class for any fitness level that improves endurance and strength.
This class focuses on the lower half of your body and it is designed to help you build lean muscle mass, as well as “toning” your thighs and derrière! Each week we focus on workouts that will challenge you and hit all the muscles of your lower half in all planes of motion. Not only will your aesthetics improve, so will your overall strength and endurance! We strive for progress, not perfection. If you’re a beginner and need to do less rounds and less repetitions, it is okay. Keep it up and you will only get better week by week!
BEGINNERS WEIGHT TRAINING
Get SWEET FIT FASTER with our weight training class.
This 40 minute class is perfect for beginners while still providing a great workout for every fitness level. We will use light to moderate weights with lots of repetition to tone and shape our muscles.
A high ENERGY cardio blast on the bike with dance moves and resistance bands that will leave you sweating and rocking to the beat!
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for bike set up.
Ever been to a theme party? Well here's your chance because we're keeping it fresh every Monday, one fun playlist at a time. An intense, heart-pounding, 45 minute cardio workout loaded with hills, jumps, sprints and tap-backs all while listening to great music! If you have an idea for a theme ride, let us know. ;)
Build your abs, confidence and a hard core. This 40 minute class will focus on strengthening your abdominal muscles and shrinking your waistline. It will also help to improve stability and good posture. All fitness levels are welcome!
A short 30 minute cardio blast that will have your heart pumping! Get your workout in, break a sweat and then go back to enjoying the rest of your day. You'll leave feeling energized with good vibes.
This class includes stretches for the entire body with a focus on neck, shoulders, back and hips that get tight from daily activities, work seating, and stress. Stretching provides many benefits such as improving posture as tight muscles can result in poor posture, improved range of motion, injury prevention and decreased muscle soreness.
TABATA TUESDAY SPIN
This class is designed to push you to work your hardest in a minimal time frame! We use bursts of intense activity interspersed by active rest periods to jump start your calorie burn! A 45 minute ride to exhilarating music, allowing you to torch fat, get your sweat on and burn calories!
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for bike set up.
If you're new to Indoor Cycling, this is the class for you! We will teach you the basic moves and body positions while still providing a great workout! You can go at your own pace until you gain your strength and stamina and become more familiar with the exercise! Once you master the spin learning curve, you'll be pushing yourself harder and grooving to the rides like a pro!
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for bike set up.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING TO CLASS?
Bring good vibes, your ‘can do’ attitude and, maybe, your exercise buddy. Our studio offers plenty of amenities to facilitate the best session possible, including small face towels, water dispenser, yoga mats and exercise bands. We, however, strongly suggest that you bring a full towel for Hot Pilates sessions. Feel free to bring along any other items that would make you comfortable and motivated. Many of our Sweet Fit family wear smartwatches to monitor their progress and track their goals. You can too!
ARE YOGA MATS PROVIDED?
Yes, along with other yoga essentials including blankets and blocks. Still, if you have a favorite yoga mat, bring it along. It’s all about creating the best zen for you.
DO YOU NEED SPECIAL SHOES FOR CYCLING?
Need? No. Our bikes have dual capability. This means you can wear either athletic sneakers or cycling shoes with SPD cleats. Most of our Sweet Fit family get a great workout using their everyday sneakers. Whichever footwear you choose, you will have great results.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Dress comfortably in athletic or athleisure clothing. All sizes, styles and colors are encouraged. Our studio is body positive. We pride ourselves on accepting where you are today and encouraging you to be a better, healthier being tomorrow.
IS WATER PROVIDED?

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR CLASS?
The start time for each class is posted at registration. We kindly ask that you adhere to these times and be punctual. If you are new to our studio, we suggest that you arrive 5-10 minutes prior for a brief orientation of the studio, instructor and equipment.
DO YOU HAVE A SHOWER AT YOUR FACILITY?
Yes, we have a shower along with amenities (bath soap, shampoo & conditioner) for your convenience. Please bring a towel and you're all set.
DO I NEED TO HAVE A RESERVATION IN ORDER TO ATTEND A CLASS?
Reservations are required for early morning (i.e. 8:00am and earlier) sessions and must be made by 10:00pm on the previous day. If there are no reservations by then, the class will be cancelled. For example, if you want to attend Sunday’s 8:00am Morning Spin, be sure to reserve your spot by 10:00pm on Saturday.
Mid-morning and evening sessions may be able to facilitate walk-ins but we still strongly suggest that you make a reservation to guarantee your spot.
IF A CLASS IS FULL, CAN I GET ON A WAITLIST?
Of course! When you attempt to make a reservation for a class that is full, the system will ask if you would like to be placed on the waitlist. Respond "yes". You will then receive an email if, and when, a spot opens up. This email will be sent to everyone on the waitlist, so be sure to login as soon as you can and confirm your reservation.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I REGISTER AND I CAN’T MAKE IT TO CLASS?
If you are unable to attend a class that you have registered for, please cancel as soon as you can. You will not be penalized if you cancel at least 2 hours prior to the start time of the class.
